Cordia Build Ups!
LANCES SHOW CAR CORDIA FROM PERTH W.A.
Written By Lance Roughsedge

Here is the next part to this journey.

Well I had been able to put the GT motor into my Cordia and well it took some time but got it in there…
After fitting the motor up we realized that the computer was setup for a MPI style injection not the single setup on the stock Cordia motor L so I went off and started to look at getting MPI for the GT motor…

After looking around for a wile I got all the prices on the MPI and well it was looking to cost me about $1200-$1500 for the parts and installation…

When talking to a few other ppl I was told that you could fit the 2.4L MPI motor into the Cordia’s using the standard mounts etc… So I went looking for the 2.4L motor to see what the price difference was…

Well I found a 2.4L motor and found that the price for that motor would be $600 + $300 for fitting so I went yer ok I will use that to get the car going J..

After the wreckers that I bought finally put the motor into the car I took it out to Racing Performance Works (due to the wreckers ended up not doing the job properly) David said he would look it over and get it working for me…

Well after finding out that the motor was not fitted in any way properly David said to me that it was going to be a bit bigger job and well it had to be done… David then said how about twin Throttle body setup on this motor since we had the motor there and were going to spend money on it…

So on went the second TB and David got the car to be able to run. When the car was running David had heard a big end knock in the motor L and well it was back to the beginning again with a car that was running but for how long…

After dealings with the wreckers that sold me the motor (had 3 month warranty) they said they would rebuild the motor for me at no cost…

So know I am awaiting the wrecker to do the rebuilding for me and then the car will head back to Racing Performance Works for some more fine fittings and the car will be ready for Dyno…
